WWH-OBD – ISO 27145<\/h2>\n\n

The Worldwide Harmonized OBD<\/strong> (WWH-OBD) <\/strong>specification aims to harmonize the persistent regional differences<\/strong> in emissions monitoring<\/strong> and consolidate them into a single international standard. The goal is to establish a unified procedure<\/strong> for vehicle diagnostics regarding the monitoring of exhaust-related systems in passenger cars and commercial vehicles. <\/p>\n\n

The United Nations<\/strong> has assigned this task to ISO. In doing so, existing standards (ISO 15031, ISO 14229, ISO 15765) are utilized or supplemented. <\/p>\n\n

The international standard does not define the limit values \u200b\u200bthemselves; these continue to be set by regional or national bodies. Instead, the aim is to define a uniform <\/strong>approach <\/strong>to emissions control. <\/p>\n\n

To date, WWH-OBD is based on the use of CAN. An expansion to include the use of DoIP over Ethernet is planned for the future. <\/p>\n\n
